Gin and Vodka Tasting with Sipsmith - Kindred

Gin and Vodka Tasting with Sipsmith

Explore the craft, history and flavour of London gin with Jared Brown & Anistatia Miller

Join Jared Brown of Sipsmith Gin and co-author Dr. Anistatia Miller, together with Cellar Sessions host Julian de Féral, for a flavour-packed evening celebrating the gin that sparked London’s craft gin revival.

Guests will be welcomed with a Gooseberry Negroni made with Sipello and Sipsmith Sloe Gin, before being guided through a tasting of five exceptional spirits:

  • Sipsmith London Dry – the classic that started it all
  • Origin 1639 – the gin that rewrote history
  • Distillers Garden – a 300L limited edition made using only classic gin botanicals grown in Jared’s Cotswolds garden
  • Sloe Gin – described by The Times as simply “Britain’s best sloe gin”
  • VJOP – their bold navy-strength expression

You’ll also hear about their groundbreaking book A Most Noble Water: Revisiting the Origins of English Gin. It isn’t every day (or every lifetime) that historians get to rewrite the story of an entire spirits category. You will also discover Distiller of London, a newly deciphered edition published with all proceeds supporting an industry charity.

Alongside the tasting, enjoy a selection of amuse-bouches from our Kitchen & Bar at Cellar, thoughtfully prepared to complement the experience.

To finish, you’ll be treated to a nightcap: a 1929 Parisian classic, the Bee’s Knees, made to the original spec with lemon juice and a touch of orange.
