Here at Bradmore house, the charming top floor of our building lends itself perfectly to intimate wedding celebrations.

Our upstairs spaces are inviting and cosy but never crowded.

Typically, wedding ceremonies are held in our atmospheric Library, before guests move into the adjoining, speakeasy-style Salon for evening festivities. The Library can also be used for seated dinner receptions.

For intimate ceremonies or dinners: The Library

Warm and sophisticated, The Library is the perfect space for intimate wedding ceremonies of up to 35 people. It’s an elegant and characterful space that can comfortably host even the closest of celebrations.

It’s also a popular choice for seated dinner receptions of up to 40 guests. A long, communal table is typically placed across the room, so all of your guests can toast and dine together.

We would be happy to accommodate your AV requirements, such as microphones for speeches or slideshows.

For breakout space or a knees up: The Salon

When music and dancing is a must, The Salon Bar can be hired in addition to the Library. There’s ample room for DJs and live music performances — and, of course, space enough for your guests to let their hair down.

It’s also the ideal breakout space for those moments between the ceremony and reception: like the legendary speakeasies of the past, it’s quietly glamorous with free-flowing cocktails.

Whether your celebration is a seated or standing affair, we’ve got a range of menu options to suit any party size. Choose from canapés, bowls, grazing boards or late-night menus — or opt for a plated three-course meal.

Our bar, which is stocked full of top-shelf wines, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic delights, is also at your disposal.

Your dream micro wedding

Hosting a celebration with up to 20 guests? Our much-loved Library is ideal. With beautiful wood panelling and a wall-to-wall bookshelf, it’s a dreamy backdrop—and guaranteed to make your micro wedding special. The space is large enough for your guests to feel comfortable without it feeling empty. For smaller parties, it’s just right.

Should you wish to have a breakout space, the neighbouring Salon is also available.

FAQs about Intimate Weddings at Kindred

  • Our top floor is made for smaller weddings. The Library seats up to 40 for a wedding dinner and hosts ceremonies for up to 35, with the adjoining Salon Bar for cocktails and dancing. For micro weddings of 20 or fewer, the space feels just as considered, and for bigger days our Hall downstairs holds up to 120.

  • Yes. Kindred is fully licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can say your vows in the book-lined Library and move straight to dinner and dancing without leaving the building. Ceremonies can also be held in the golden glow of The Hall for larger guest lists.

  • For smaller weddings that don’t need the full run of the house, we price bespoke around what you actually want, rather than a one-size package. As a guide, our wedding menus run from £59 per person for three plated courses, feasting menus from £55 to £80 per person, and canapés from £14. Your event manager builds the day with you, and a food and drink tasting is part of booking a wedding with us.

  • Yes. Intimate weddings take over the whole top floor: the Library and the speakeasy-style Salon Bar are yours, with your own bar and your own staff. If you want the entire building, ask us about full venue takeover, which includes the Hall, Salon, Butterwick Room and Balcony from 2pm to 11pm, with late licence options until 2am.

  • Everything is made in-house in our kitchen, from three course dinners and family-style feasts to canapés, grazing boards and late-night bites for the dancefloor. Drinks are just as flexible: pre-order champagne and cocktails, run a bar tab, or keep it simple with our wine list. Dietary requirements are catered for individually and dishes can be made halal on request.
