ID8: 8 Ideas for a Better Tomorrow

Join us for an evening of hope, where eight speakers have eight minutes each to tell us about an idea that could change the world.

Join us for an evening of hope, where eight speakers have eight minutes each to tell us about an idea that could change the world.

When today’s dialogue is led by what’s going wrong with the world, we want to platform some of the things that are going right.

Founded by Anna Anderson, the founder of Kindred, the concept of ID8 is simple. We gather to listen to eight speakers take eight minutes on stage to tell us about an idea that could change the world. Past ID8s have offered us a wide range of incredible ideas from leaders in business, health, art and design, science, tech and social justice. Previous speakers include award winning photographer Misan Harriman, founder of Women of Web3 and Next Big Thing Lauren Ingram, artist Hazel Mead, philosopher Alain de Botton, and Seep founder Laura Harnett.

The talks will begin from 7pm but you are welcome to join us from 6pm to get settled with food and drink. Once all seats have been taken there is standing room at the back, so make sure you arrive in good time if you’d like a seat.

When the talks have finished, we always encourage you to stick around, grab some food and drinks and keep the conversation going. You never know who might the in the room! We can’t wait to welcome you back for another ID8 at Kindred.

Note: this event will be photographed and filmed, please let us know if you’d prefer not to be in the shots.

TogethernessFest at Kindred (June 9th – 14th)

London is lonely.

Rates of social isolation are higher than anywhere else in the UK with 35% of Londoners report feeling regularly lonely.

Kindred was created by former social worker Anna Anderson to provide an antidote. A former members club turned community space, we offer a friendly and inclusive space in Hammersmith where people can gather for events, coworking and exceptional food & drink. Since opening in 2018 we have built a strong community and brought thousands of Londoners together – in June we plan to take things to the next level…

Our third TogethernessFest marks Loneliness Awareness Week with a week-long celebration of IRL connection, featuring dinners, talks, walks and workshops with some of our favourite event partners.
