CO-WORKING MEMBERSHIP FAQs

Q: What makes Kindred different?

A: We’re not a traditional co-working space. We’re a members club and community space that offers a relaxing environment and one that promotes connecting with other members. Think of us as 4 different businesses in one; catering for your every need, from co-working to business talks to fun live music nights in the evening.

We’re consciously creating a community of like-minded individuals. Most of our members are local freelancers and entrepreneurs, fed up of working from home, coffee-shops and soulless co-working spaces. They’re looking for an intimate and friendly space which feels like home; to connect with others, attend events and enjoy the many offerings that Kindred has to offer.

Creating community and building connections is what makes Kindred different. Our dedicated Community Manager gets to know each of our members; what they do professionally and who they are outside of work. Our team then takes the time to help members find one another; whether that’s the marketing specialist who can give great advice, a running buddy, or even a future business partner. At Kindred, we believe that it’s the human connections we make that help us truly flourish.

We’re constantly evolving at Kindred; listening to feedback from members about what they want to see and do in the space. Becoming a member means becoming a part of the Kindred journey, and developing Kindred with us to make it the best it can be.

Q: What are your opening times?

A: Coworking spaces are available Monday-Friday, 8am-10pm. If you need somewhere to work outside of these times, feel free to use The Cellar 10am-10pm on Saturdays too.

Q: Is this a members club?

A: Yes but not as you know them! We know that London isn’t short on members clubs, but what it is short of is spaces for connection, conversation and community. We’re not about exclusivity, but inclusivity. All we ask of our members is that they respect the values of the community.

Q: How long is the contract?

A: To give our members flexibility, we offer a 3 month minimum membership, which turns into a monthly rolling contract thereafter.

Q: Can I bring in guests?

A: We have a very flexible policy. Before 6pm, you’re welcome to invite up to 3 guests, for catch ups, coffees and informal meetings. If your guest is going to be using the space for a full day of work we have day passes on offer for £20. After 6pm, Kindred transforms into an open house and all guests are welcome.

Q: Can I have a day pass and what’s the price?

A: Yes, £20 per day (anyone can purchase one, you don’t have to be a member.)

Q: Can I pause the membership?

A: Yes, we know that there will be times in the year where you may be travelling so we offer a very flexible ‘press pause’ for one month where you pay just £20 per month instead of your usual membership fee. All we require is one full calendar months notice.

Q: Is there a joining fee?

A: Yes, there is a cost of £50 in the first month, if you pay monthly. If you sign up to a year, we waiver this fee.

Q: How can I pay?

A: You can pay monthly or annually (the joining fee is waived for the latter). Your first payment is taken on your start date at Kindred and a direct debit set up to automatically deduct payment at the beginning of each month thereafter.

Q: Is the membership transferable?

A: No - each membership is for one individual as we invest in getting to know each of our members personally.

Q: What if I need to cancel my membership?

A: You can cancel your membership once it’s monthly rolling, giving us one calendar month’s notice.

Q: How much can I print?

A: You can print up to 50 pages in black and white (included in the Full Time Founder or Game Changer membership packages).

You can print for 10p per black and white page if you’re a Digital Nomad member.

Q: Do I get a membership card?

A: Yes, you may be asked to present it for events and happy hour.

Q: What if I lose my membership card?

A: It will cost you £15 for a new one

Q: Can I bring in my own food?

A: Our in-house restaurant 'The Cellar' has a range of delicious food served from 8am-10pm/11pm every day. Therefore we ask that you don't bring in food from outside of the premises. Instead, we offer a lunch meal deal exclusively for co-working members!
