For Mental Health Awareness Week, Social member, Consuelo Cogrossi is generously sharing her gift of free yoga for the Kindred Community!
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a meditation and conscious relaxation practise that is intended to induce total physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. It brings stillness into the entire body and lets a feeling of heaviness lure you into a deep, restful sleep. Yoga Nidra is for everyone. (You literally just lay there…)
Mental Health Benefits:
– The benefits of yoga Nidra span far beyond stress relief and profound relaxation
– Combined with breath awareness and Nidra meditation, you can experience many of the same benefits as with practising mindfulness meditation regularly.
– The goal of this experience is to be in a state of rest and effortlessness so that your body can experience profound healing and rejuvenation.
This class is suitable for everyone from absolute beginners to advanced.

More about Consuelo
Consuelo has been practising yoga for over a decade.
She still has vivid memories of her first class when her Swedish friend Louise literally dragged her to a Bikram yoga class in Brussels. From day one she was hooked and she has been rolling down her mat since.
Consuelo believes yoga is freedom, healing, creativity and self-expression. After becoming a mum in 2015 her practice transformed into something deeper than the physical asanas. In need of recovering from post-natal depression, she was craving for moments in which she could be herself. No responsibilities, no worries, just her mat, her body and her breath.
Consuelo’s mission is – through the teaching of yoga – to offer a safe space where people can embark on a journey of self-discovery and live a happier, healthier and more confident life.
